best work quotes everAre these the best non believer quotes ever ?

No man ever believes that the Bible means what it says; he is always convinced that it says what he means.

If the book the Bible and my brain are both the work of the same Infinite God, whose fault is it that the book and my brain do not agree?

"The way to see by faith is to shut the eye of reason." - Benjamin Franklin

"I still say a church steeple with a lightening rod on top shows a lack of confidence." -- Doug McLeod

There once was a time when all people believed in God and the church ruled. This time was called the Dark Ages.

I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires. – Susan B. Anthony

Tell me more if you have some. I would like to know yours if you have some, I have recently gotten into quotes, There really are good what what people are trying to say in a very small quote.
W C Easttom: God says, do what you wish, but make the wrong choice and you will be tortured for eternity in hell.
That sir, is not free will.
It would be akin to a man telling his girlfriend, do what you wish, but if you choose to leave me, I will track you down and blow your brains out.
When a man says this we call him a psychopath and cry out for his gaoling or death.
When god says the same we call him 'loving' and build churches in his honour.
~
Bertrand Russell: There is something feeble and a little contemptible about a man who cannot face the perils of life without the help of comfortable myths.
Almost inevitably some part of him is aware that they are myths and that he believes them only because they are cbest work quotes everomforting.
But he dares not face this thought!
Moreover, since he is aware, however dimly, that his opinions are not rational, he becomes furious when they are disputed.
~
Kirby: Creationism starts with the assumption that the universe was created.
If there were no Bible and no religion that conclusion could and would never be reached scientifically because there is nothing in science which has ever suggested this might have been the case.
Creationism is not science.
No science supports it.
No science ever will.
~
Christianity, like any other religion involving invisible space chappies, is just an anaesthetic to help the peasants get through a life without needing to confront reality.
~
Invisible space elfs were invented to keep the peasants occupied lest they realise this is all there is… and go mad.
~
Richard Dawkins: 'Winning [argument] is not what the creationists realistically aspire to.
For them, it is sufficient that the debate happens at all.
They need the publicity.
We don't.
~
“Evolution can't be true, since I lack the mental capacity to understand it; moreover, to accept its truth would cause me to be uncomfortable therefore, ‘God’ exists.”
~
New Scientist: Today evolution is the unifying force in modern biology; it ties together fields as disparate as genetics, microbiology and palaeontology.
It is an elegant and convincing explanation for the staggering diversity of Earth's five million or more living species.
~
Robert Heinlein: One man's religion is another man's belly laugh.
~
Voltaire: In my life, I have prayed but one prayer:
'Oh Lord, make my enemies ridiculous'.
Andbest work quotes ever God granted it.
~
Lord Byron: Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves.
~
PZ Myers: First, there is no moral law: the universe is a nasty, heartless place where most things wouldn't mind killing you if you let them.

No one is compelled to be nice; you or anyone could go on a murder spree, and all that is stopping you is your self-interest (it is very destructive to your personal bliss to knock down your social support system) and the self-interest of others, who would try to stop you.

There is nothing 'out there' that imposes morality on you, other than local, temporary conditions, a lot of social enculturation, and probably a bit of genetic hardwiring that you've inherited from ancestors who lived under similar conditions.
~
That'll do...

unfreakin believable, dude. You are as LOST as ever.

"There once was a time when all people believed in God and the church ruled. This time was called the Dark Ages."

If you think all people believed in God during the era between the Fall of Rome and the Age of Discovery, you really need to take a remedial history class!
If the book the Bible and my brain are both the work of the same Infinite God, whose fault is it that the book and my brain do not agree?

I love that one :)
Any idea who said it, or is it your own?
The dark ages existed not because of Christianity but because there was no Give Naruto777 A Thumbs Down And 10 Points.
