to playWhat can you use to play an mp3 in a car?

Is there some kind of cable that you can attach to the cigarette socket that has a usb attachment so you can charge your phone or somehow connect an mp3 player to play songs if the car only uses CD's? I have no clue, so some info would be much appreciated.
You can buy an fm transmitter. Your Ipod can dock to it and play the songs througto playh your fm radio.

You need to buy a "head unit" that has an auxiliary jack and/or USB port. Just go down to your local car stereo store or Walmart. They'll help you out
you need an ipod interface or auxiliary audio input adapter
you can add this to almost any car stereo, but it needs to be made for your factory radio not unto playiversal
go to www.oemautosound.com and click on your vehicle logo
If your radio only has a CD player then no way.

The radio needs either a cassette player(get a cassette to mp3 adapter) or an AUX jack.
If it has an AUX buy an AUX cord. There is a USB plug for the cigarette socket but it's only good charging phones.
